KLCI futures firmer at mid-day

KUALA LUMPUR • The FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) futures contract on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended the morning session firmer in line with the underlying cash market.

At lunch break, December 2018 and March 2019 rose 12 points each to 1,699 and 1,696 respectively, while January 2019 increased 14 points to 1,702.5 and June 2019 was 13.50 points higher at 1,688.5.

Turnover stood at 3,482 lots, with open interest at 26,007 contracts.

At 12.30 pm, the underlying benchmark FBM KLCI gained 8.32 points to 1,700.39.
