SunCon bags RM100m job from SA Architects


Sunway Construction Group Bhd’s (SunCon) subsidiary, Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd, has accepted a contract worth RM100 million from SA Architects Sdn Bhd to undertake main building works at a proposed mixed development in Kuala Lumpur (KL).

In an exchange filing yesterday, SunCon noted the main building works include basement architectural and mechanical and electrical works, pedestrian bridges and associated external works for the proposed development of Block 1A, which comprises three floors of commercial area, eight floors of office area, 11 floors of serviced apartments, pedestrian decks and four floors of basement carpark in KL.

The project, which commenced on Nov 16, 2018, is expected to be completed by April 30, 2021.

The deal is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of SunCon from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019, onwards.

SunCon’s new orderbook secured to date amounts to RM1.5 billion.
