HILTON Garden Inn envisions to double the monthly occupancy rate at its newly launched Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman South instalment, versus the rate at its North building.
Hilton Malaysia regional GM Jamie Mead said the North building currently records a 10,000 occupancy rate per month.
“We are targeting to double that number for our South instalment — around 20,000 per month,” he said at the launch in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
He added that the brand’s growth mirrors the rising appeal of focused-service hotels.
“Hilton Garden Inn as a leading focused-service chain of hotels has grown its presence rapidly in the local hospitality scene.
“From Hilton Garden Inn North and Hilton Garden Inn Puchong, to our newest milestone Hilton Garden Inn South, we are proud to continue expansion of our footprint in the country,” he said.
The new hotel is located in Chow Kit next to its North instalment which was launched earlier this year, with a small building nestled in between.
The North and South buildings are physically two different hotels that are sharing the same management.
The South instalment offers a rooftop bar and 267 rooms in addition to the chain’s portfolio of 10 hotels in the country, in line with Hilton Garden Inn’s plans to double its presence in Malaysia in the next three to five years.
