CIMB Group Holdings Bhd has announced changes and new appointments in its top management.
In an exchange filing Monday, the financial group noted its group CFO Shahnaz Jammal will take on the role of CEO of group wholesale banking while CIMB Malaysia and CIMB Islamic Bank Bhd CFO, Khairulanwar Rifaie, will succeed Shahnaz as the group CFO effective Jan 1, 2019.
Effendy Shahul Hamid will focus on various digital partnerships and ecosystems as the CEO of group ventures and partnerships, CIMB Group’s new division. Gurdip Singh has been appointed group chief strategy and design officer.
Victor Lee Meng Teck will join CIMB on Jan 17, 2019, to oversee the group’s commercial banking and transaction banking businesses. The group has also appointed Omar Siddiq as group COO effective Nov 26, 2018. – TMR
