Last month, Hilton Malaysia brought its brand to Puchong with Hilton Garden Inn Puchong, to tap into focused-service hospitality.

The hotel is part of the Millenia City, a masterplan for a township with both commercial and residential properties by Millennium Land Sdn Bhd.

The group’s expansion in Puchong tailed its first Garden Inn launch in Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman in Kuala Lumpur, which is owned by the Royal Group Capital Pte Ltd.

The Malaysian Reserve also reported that the local tourism industry is expected to be driven by focused-service hospitality brands.
