The Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA) yesterday announced the appointment of Datuk Oh Chong Peng (picture) as chairman of the authority, effective Oct 16, 2018, until Feb 15, 2020.

The Ministry of Finance approved the appointment, a post which was traditionally held by the governor of Bank Negara Malaysia.

In a statement yesterday, Labuan FSA said Oh has wide experience in financial and other business sectors.

He is currently the non-ED of British American Tobacco (M) Bhd, Malayan  Flour Mills Bhd, Dialog Group Bhd, Kumpulan Europlus Bhd and PUC Bhd. — Bernama
