The Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd (Exim Bank) has distributed more than 2,000 copies of the special edition book entitled “Exporting and International Trade” to a number of universities in Malaysia.

The First City University College (FCUC) became the latest to add to the list of higher education institutions receiving copies of the book authored by practising exporter and consultant AB Teoh.

Exim Bank president/CEO Norzilah Mohammed handed 200 books to FCUC director Tan Sri Dr Teo Chiang Liang in Kuala Lumpur recently.

The book has been published in Malay, English and Mandarin, according to an Exim Bank statement.

Among the other education outfits that have received copies of the book are Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) in Kampar, Perak; Multimedia University (MMU) in Ayer Keroh, Melaka, and Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation in Bukit Jalil, Selangor.

Assistant professor Dr Au Yong Hui Nee of UTAR and assistant professor Dr Gerald Goh Guan Gan of MMU had received the books for their respective organisations.

Exim Bank also plans to distribute the books at Universiti Tun Abdul Razak in Kuala Lumpur.

The bank has chosen to hand out the book to universities due to its wide coverage on export procedures and processes in relation to Malaysia.

It also covers international trade which will provide a good reference for students wishing to be in the export-import business, the bank said in a statement.

Exim Bank is mandated to stimulate and enhance the competitiveness of Malaysian industries for exports and investments globally via the provisioning of internationally and domestically competitive banking and insurance products, and advisory services. — TMR
