Naza Italia Sdn Bhd, the country’s official importer and distributor of the Ferrari brand, saw its sales volume rise following the introduction of the Portofino.
Naza Italia national brand head Damien Woo said the Portofino has thus far outnumbered the bookings of the California T model which it replaced.
“The acceptance of the Portofino has been incredible. The car was launched in May and up until September, the sales has surpassed compared to the California T,” said Woo at the launching of Ferrari’s pop-up showroom at Pavilion Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, yesterday.
The Portofino is Ferrari’s most powerful convertible car ever produced. The speed machine is capable of sprinting from 0-100km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
Woo said Naza Italia aims to promote the “Ferrari lifestyle” to local customers to help propel the brand’s presence since acceptance among buyers has been encouraging.
The demand for the newly introduced V8 gran tourer has propelled a waiting period of six months.
“Ferrari is known to be a very exclusive brand, however, on this occasion we are making it more accessible,” Naza Corp Holdings Sdn Bhd’s automotive group CEO Datuk Samson Anand George said in a statement.
The very first pop-up showroom in the country that embodies the Ferrari lifestyle will run until Sept 28, 2018, where the Portofino is being jointly showcased with the Italian marque’s GTC4Lusso T.
