Bintai bags RM14m contract from TNB

Bintai Kinden Corp Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, Kejuruteraan Bintai Kindeko Sdn Bhd, has been appointed by Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) to be the contractor to undertake the establishment of 132kV gas insulated switch- gear switching station at Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur for a contract sum of RM14.03 million.

In an exchange filing yesterday, Bintai said the contract is non-renewable and estimated to be completed within 710 days from the commencement date.

It said no major risk is foreseeable on the contract.

“The contract will contribute positively to the revenue and earnings of the company for financial year ending March 31, 2019 (subject to the stages of progress to be recognised) and is expected to contribute positively to the future earnings and net assets per share of Bintai group,” the company stated.

It added that none of the directors and/or major shareholders of Bintai or persons connected with them has any interests, direct or indirect, in the contract.
