IJM Corp Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, IJM Construction Sdn Bhd, accepted a award from Affin Bank Bhd for the construction of the proposed 47-storey office building in Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur worth RM505 million.
In a statement released yesterday, IJM noted the building, which is set to be Affin Bank’s headquarters, has a gross floor area of 76,600 sq m. The building, which will house a total of 605 car parking bays, will be built over a land area of 1.25 acres at the upcoming financial district, Tun Razak Exchange (TRX).
The project is expected to complete within 26 months or December 2020. In November 2017, IJM Construction was awarded with the project’s substructure contract for an earlier work package. IJM Corp’s outstanding construction order book stands at RM9.3 billion.
