Pestech International Bhd’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Pestech Sdn Bhd, has won a RM57.95 million contract from Sarawak Energy Bhd’s subsidiary, Syarikat SESCO Bhd, for the Sibiyu 132/33 kilovolts (kV) sub-station project.
Pestech informed Bursa Malaysia yesterday the project, which is a 35 minute drive from Bintulu Airport in the Kemena Land district, has a duration of 28 months and will commence work on Sept 3, 2018.
Once completed, the project is expected to provide the essential 132kV power injection into the city centre of Bintulu to cater for the anticipated load demand and strengthen its power supply reliability.
