Shopee brings back 9.9 Super Shopping Day

SHOPEE is bringing back its biggest annual regional shopping event — Shopee 9.9 Super Shopping Day, following the success of the campaign last year.

Shopee regional MD Ian Ho said the event is entering its third year in Malaysia and is set to be the company’s biggest ever.

“We saw a threefold uplift in orders and five-time increase in site traffic compared to normal day during the 9.9 event last year.

“This year’s event is supposed to be bigger and better compared to last year — where the 9.9 event was concentrated in one day — because we decided to make the 9.9 event run for 14 days this year, starting from next Monday, Aug 27, 2018, to the finale on Sept 9, 2018,” he told reporters at the Shopee’s 9.9 Super Shopping Day’s press conference in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday.

He also expected the increase in orders and site traffic during the two week event to be “pretty decent”.

Shopee has over 10,000 sellers, 120 brands and 40 corporate partners on board for the upcoming 9.9 shopping spree.

On each day, users can shop countless promotions in line with daily themes, starting with Super Brands Festival on Aug 27, where they can score deals of up to 99% off on brands including Nestlé, Lóreal and Russell Taylors.

Shopee has also teamed up with corporate partners such as Citibank, VISA Inc, Hong Leong Bank Bhd and BHPetrol (Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn Bhd).

On Sept 9, Shopee will be featuring nine rounds of Shocking Sale promising up to 99% off the most popular products, in addition to exclusive vouchers offering huge discounts on various product categories including fast-moving consumer goods, fashion, electronics and lifestyle.

Shopee 9.9 Super Shopping Day will also see the convergence of some of the largest retailers and industry players in the country.
