Bursa trades higher at midday

Bursa Malaysia index grew 6.80 points or 0.38% to 1,797.89 at 12:30pm, against Tuesday’s close of 1,791.09, supported by the rising crude oil prices.  
 
The local benchmark moved between 1,793.11 and 1,798.35 during the morning session, after having opened 2.07 points higher at 1,793.16.
 
Market breadth was positive with 497 gainers against 287 losers, while 376 counters were unchanged and 721 others untraded.
 
Gainers were led by Far East Holdings Bhd, Bintulu Port Holdings Bhd, Vitrox Corp Bhd, ABM Fujiya Bhd and Hartalega Holdings Bhd.
 
Meanwhile, top losers include Nestle (M) Bhd, British American Tobacco (M) Bhd, Kluang Rubber Company (Malaya) Bhd, Apollo Food Holdings Bhd and Pintaras Jaya Bhd.
