MEMBERS of Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties contesting as independent candidates in the 14th General Election (GE14) will face disciplinary action.
BN secretary general Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor (picture) said he is monitoring the situation.
“If BN component party members contest as independent candidates or represent other parties, we will take action,” he told reporters after attending the Cheras Education Foundation 2017 Excellence Award ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
Asked about Tan Sri M Kayveas who was sacked as the MyPPP president, Tengku Adnan said it was up to him, but he had asked all component parties to resolve their internal problems in facing GE14.
”As the BN secretary general, I have sent a letter to all component parties to resolve their internal problems.
“If there are internal problems, we advise MyPPP to take disciplinary action against members who have violated the party’s constitution.” — Bernama
