Kelington Group Bhd has secured RM77.5 million of new contracts in the first quarter of 2018 (1Q18) and registered an accumulative outstanding orderbook of RM267.3 million.
The group in a statement yesterday noted 85% of the new orders were derived from its ultra-high purity segment that provides specialised engineering services for the semi- conductor and electronic manufacturing companies.
It added the majority of the contracts were secured for projects in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
Kelington CEO Raymond Gan said the group has been able to capture a share of the global semiconductor capital expenditure spending from large international players each year.
“We are encouraged by our growing replenishment of orders, especially as most of them are from repeat customers.
“This signals our technical capabilities and adds further credence to our track record in handling these types of specialised engineering services,” he said in the statement yesterday.
Moving forward, Gan said the group will continue to double its competitiveness by adopting more innovative engineering solutions and bidding on large-scale projects to ensure its position in the industry.
“We will continue to sharpen our competitive edge with more innovative engineering solutions to ensure we stay ahead in this fast-changing landscape,” he said.
