MAXIS Bhd has appointed Robert Nason (picture) as its interim CEO with effect from April 1, 2018, following the expiry of current CEO Morten Lundal’s contract on March 31, 2018.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia last Friday, the company said Nason, who was appointed to the board in 2016 as its independent director, has also been appointed as its ED.

“He will remain in this role until the new CEO is appointed,” the telecommunications provider said.

Nason is also the chairman of the audit committee, and business and information technology (IT) transformation committee.

With the appointment, he will relinquish his role as chairman and member of the audit committee, and step down as chairman of the business and IT transformation committee, but will continue as its member.

“The board would like to take this opportunity to thank Lundal for his valuable contributions and services to Maxis. It has been an exciting time with Lundal. Maxis has accomplished a great deal in this journey with him.
