Telekom Malaysia Bhd’s (TM) video play service, Unifi TV, has added 10 more channels from Fox Networks Group Asia (FNGA) for the benefit of all its subscribers.
The video streaming service, formerly known as HyppTV, has now added Fox Life, Fox, FX, Fox Movies, Fox Action Movies, Fox Family Movies, National Geographic, Nat Geo Wil, BabyTV and Sky News as part of the service rebranding.
The company said the channels are available immediately on Unifi TV for a limited time until March 31, 2018, after which the channels will be accessible on Unifi TV’s Jumbo Pack.
Unifi TV executive VP Jeremy Kung said the inclusion of the 10 new channels further solidifies their partnership with FNGA and strengthens Unifi TV’s content with unique and sought-after programmes.
“With the content that covers ‘same day’ series, award-winning programmes and more of fan-favourite channels, Unifi TV subscribers will have plenty of entertainment options for the perfect family and individual moments,” he said in a statement.
Kung said the additional channels are also in line with the many firsts Unifi has launched earlier, such as Unifi TV’s first-ever “live” interactive gameshow Teka Tekan, a sponsorship of Liga Malaysia and Unifi Mobile.
FNGA said the inclusion of the 10 channels on Unifi TV’s line-up is served to reach out to more fans and viewers, as well as to broaden the list of offerings.
FNGA senior VP (territory head of Malaysia and Singapore) Vineet Puri said the expanded partnership with TM is a landmark moment for FNGA.
“We commit to provide a range of high-quality, worldclass content and innovative ways of delivering it to our viewers in Malaysia,” said Vineet.
Unifi TV subscribers can now catch “hit” programmes such as The Walking Dead, The Voice, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Masterchef, American Crime Story, Genius and many other international shows.
Unifi TV currently offers customers 115 channels with 65 channels in high definition, comprising 63 premium channels, 25 free channels, seven video-on-demand channels, 18 interactive channels and two radio channels in various packages and options.
