The Hilton group is expected to open the Hilton Garden Inn (HGI) Kuala Lumpur (KL) Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman South wing in the middle of 2018.

Hilton Malaysia regional GM Jamie Mead said the HGI KL North wing located on Jalan Tuanku Abdul Rahman will be leveraging on its location and brand signature, along with the upcoming South wing, which will be launched by mid-year.

“There are more upcoming developments from us such as the South wing in mid-2018 and you can expect to hear more good news from us throughout the year,” he said at the HGI KL North wing’s media launch on Tuesday.

He added that the hotel offers their guests with high quality and affordable accommodation and taking advantage of Kuala Lumpur as its gateway to the South-East Asia region.

“Guided by Hilton’s mission to be the most hospitable company in the world, we are committed to expanding Hilton’s offerings in Malaysia and throughout the region,” he said.

HGI KL hotel manager PA Kogila Kolendaisamy said the South wing is expected to feature a rooftop bar and swimming pool to complement amenities such as 24-hour fitness centre and self-service laundry.

“We are also expecting to launch HGI Puchong by the end of the year,” she said.

The HGI KL was launched on Dec 15 last year as the first of its line and the third of Hilton’s brands after Doubletree in Malaysia.

Royal Group Capital manages and operates HGI KL as the second Hilton property under its management. The target number of visitors was not revealed but HGI KL expects to attract visitors travelling to Kuala Lumpur for leisure, rather than for event venues or business meetings.
