MUHIBBAH Engineering (M) Bhd has bagged a supply and installation job from the Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd for the MRT Line 2 (MRT2): Sungai Buloh-Serdang- Putrajaya.

In an announcement to Bursa Malaysia yesterday, the infrastructure conglomerate stated that the scope of works entails the designing, suppling, installing, testing and commissioning of noise barriers and enclosures for the second MRT line under Package V201 to V210 for a contract sum of approximately RM189 million.

The work is expected to be substantially completed by end of 2019.

The group’s net profit rose 23.9% year-on-year to RM28 million for the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2017, compared to RM22.6 million in the same period a year ago, mainly attributable to its construction division.
