Mastercard Inc launches its donations platform in Malaysia aimed to support the development of women and youth, with RHB Bank Bhd appointed as the acquiring bank.

The donations platform is a part of the company’s global programme called Priceless Causes, which aims to promote country-specific causes that affect the progress of communities.

Mastercard Indonesia, Malaysia and Brunei division president Safdar Khan said the platform is dedicated to delivering food aid assistance to women and youth as they are the key to the nation’s progress.

With the tie-up with local charities and non-governmental organisations (NGOs), Mastercard is providing an avenue for the NGOs to enhance awareness and develop new donation sources for the public.

“This initiative is at the heart of doing good and doing well, a vision close to Mastercard as we aim to sup- port and empower communities which we serve across the globe,” Khan added.

The card technology company has opened registrations for the platform; where for every entry, a meal will be contributed to a child in need.
