Bahrain-Based Bank ABC, incorporated as Arab Banking Corp BSC, has appointed Patrick Tan (picture) as the GM of its newly opened Singapore branch, as well as the bank’s Asia head.
The bank has announced the opening of a branch in Singapore as part of its plan to expand its international network, which already spans 16 countries in five continents. Bank ABC has had a representative office in Singapore since 1982.
The Monetary Authority of Singapore had granted the bank a licence to operate a wholesale-bank branch in the country.
In his role, Tan will have the overall responsibility of leading the bank’s business in Singapore and East Asia across all wholesale banking, treasury and financial markets products, working closely with the bank’s other product lines and geography teams, the bank said in a statement.
