Microsoft (M) Sdn Bhd has launched the brand new Surface Pro, aiming to provide a flexible and mobile working environment through the latest edition of the Surface Pro.
Designed to supersede the previous edition, the latest Surface Pro is equipped with built-in Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 365 that ease customers’ experience in accessing and sharing data information.
Chief marketing and operations officer Michal Golebiewski said rapid changes in technology had influenced businesses to shift their working environment to be mobile.
“The digital transformation has altered the nature of working environment and workspace. We are pushing the boundaries to allow a better user experience that is matched to the modern working environment.
“Through this device, we combine the necessary components that are essential in the modern workplace and integrate them into a device,” Golebiewski said at the launch ceremony in Kuala Lumpur yesterday.
“The integration of Windows 10 and the Microsoft Office 365 in the device allows users to access and share information through the built-in programmes and promote collaboration with others,” he said.
Golebiewski added that the new Surface Pro has been redesigned to give enhanced battery life, device performance and comprehensive design.
“The new Surface Pro’s battery life is 50% more than the previous edition, as it can run up to 13.5 hours. It is also engineered to run most of the heavy and demanding programmes with the 7th Generation Intel Core m3, Core i5 and Core i7 processors.
“The innovation in thermal management also gives the device a quieter and heat-controlled finish,” he said, adding that the device is also equipped with and improved type-cover and a stylus pen.
Golebiewski said Microsoft has seen an evolution of its the target audience since the maiden Surface product was launched in 2012.
“Although this device was designed to adapt to the swift changes in the current technology, it also looks at niche demand, particularly in the creative industry.
“For example, we have improved programmes that are commonly used by creators and designers that work in the creative line,” he said.
The Surface products have evolved to where it now caters to audiences with specific needs.
“However, all customers are equally important to us as we continue to get feedbacks from our target audiences across the region for the next Surface products,” he said.
