WCT Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, WCT Bhd, has been awarded a RM199.5 million contract from Mass Rapid Transit Corp Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) to construct and complete elevated stations and other associated works at the Kuchai Lama and Taman Naga Emas MRT stations.

Tagged as “Work Package V204”, the station works form part of WCT’s prime cost sum under the main RM896.4 million contract that was awarded to WCT from MRT Corp on Nov 14 last year.

The main contract under Work Package V204 involved the construction and completion of the viaduct guideway and other associated works from Bandar Malaysia South Portal to Kampung Muhibbah.

Apart from WCT, Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) had won a contract worth RM145.8 million from MRT Corp.

Under the contract, MRCB is expected to construct and complete the elevated stations and other associated works at Cyberjaya City Centre and Putrajaya Sentral under Package S210.

In addition, MRCB was granted a RM58.9 million contract from Johor Land Bhd to build the Larkin Indoor Stadium in Johor Baru. The contract has a 18-month duration from the date of site possession.

Another company that bagged a multi-million contract is AWC Bhd, which was accorded a RM24.38 million contract from the Public Works Department for the facilities management of Lot 3G3 in Precinct 3, Putrajaya.

An exchange filing by AWC stated that the contract involves maintaining the Palace of Justice in Precinct 3 for five years from Oct 1, 2017.

The contract, expected to conclude on Sept 30, 2022, was accepted by AWC’s fullyowned unit, Ambang Wira Sdn Bhd.
