The two Malaysian firms are Bluewater Partners Sdn Bhd, which signed an MoU and NDA, and Indah Water Konsortium Sdn Bhd (IWK), which exchanged a signed NDA with the Hungarian firm. The agreements signed at the Malaysia-Hungary Water Innovation and Networking Forum, will see collaborations in water resource management and innovation.

Bluewater Partners was represented by its CEO Datuk Seri Jeff Yap, IWK CEO Faizal Othman signed on behalf of the company, while Thermowatt MD Pál Kiss represented his company. The ceremony was witnessed by Hungarian ambassador to Malaysia Attila Káli, and Deputy Minister of State for Foreign Economic Relations at the Hungary’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Dr Petra Pana.

Kiss told Bernama the company had developed the technology for cooling and heat- ing large buildings using sewer line eight years ago in Europe.

As the technology has not been used before, he said having had good experiences in warm conditions in Europe led them to the decision to use the technology in other countries. — Bernama
