Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) has opened a community centre to provide airport workers a comfortable resting and dining area.
Located at Contact Pier, Level 4 of Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), the centre is also open to staff from partner organisations such as immigration, customs, airlines’ terminal operation services and service providers.
The centre is an initiative under the company’s Total Airport Experience (TAE) strategic pillar as outlined in its five-year business plan Runway to Success 2020.
“TAE is about reimagining the airport experience for our stakeholders and even though passenger experience is our core focus, the retailers, airlines partners and service providers must also be given equal support as they play a vital role in providing seamless airport operations.
Part of our support does not only include providing the community centre but also includes undertaking the maintenance of the centre,” said MAHB senior GM Zainol Mohd Isa, who is also head of KLIA.
