Mudajaya wins RM151m contract for Rapid works

Mudajaya Group Bhd secured a RM151.38 million contract for facility works on the Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development (Rapid) project in Pengerang, Johor, via its wholly owned subsidiary Mudajaya Corp Bhd.

In an exchange filing yesterday, the construction and engineering company noted the award was by PRPC Utilities and Facilities Sdn Bhd — a wholly owned subsidiary of Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) — for the procurement, construction and commissioning for utilities, interconnecting and offsite facilities for the Petronas-led project.

The first project involves a data centre, telecommunication equipment room and electrical substation at the site, scheduled for completion by July next year, while the second project for civil and infrastructure works at Area 8100 is expected to be completed by March next year.
