Mesiniaga wins RM10m IT contract from USM

MESINIAGA Bhd has been awarded a RM10.22 million contract from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) to supply, deliver, install, configure, test and commission the core and distribution switches, DDI (DNS, DHCP and IP address management) solution and IPV6 (Internet Protocol version 6) implementation for USM’s communication and technology centre.

The contract is for two months commencing on June 19, 2017, followed by a one-year maintenance period.

The information technology (IT) company added that the proposed transaction will not have any material effect on its net assets for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2017, nor is it likely to affect the firm’s dividend policy, gearing, share capital and substantial shareholders’ shareholding for FY17.

However, it is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings over the period of the contract.
