SEPANG – Seven investors have shown interest to invest in the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Aeropolis, said Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) Managing Director, Datuk Badlisham Ghazali (picture).
“There are seven opportunities to do the final negotiations during the Paris Air Show on Monday,” he told reporters after unveiling of the newly refurbished toilets at KLIA here today.
“Most of them are European companies. The seven companies are aeronautical players.
“I am not saying that I’m going to close a deal of multi billion dollars but I am working on a hundred million dollar deal,” Badlisham added.
He said MAHB would promote the KLIA Aeropolis during its participation in the Paris Air Show scheduled to be held from Monday until Thursday next week.
“People are taking notice of KLIA Aeropolis because it is a real project with a comprehensive development plan,” he further said.
KLIA Aeropolis launched last year and is centred around key clusters of air cargo and logistics, aviation and aerospace parks, meetings, incentives, conferences, events and leisure.
The project sprawled over a 100 square kilometre area is one of strategic pillars in MAHB’s five-year business plan, Runway to Success 2020.
