Twitter business leader for South-East Asia and India, Parminder Singh, is set to leave the company after a three-year stint at the online news and social networking service.
In a tweet on Nov 2, Parminder said after leading Twitter in Asia’s most exciting markets, it was time to move on to new passions.
Parminder was also Twitter business leader for the MEAN (Middle East and North Africa) region.
It was reported that he would be embarking on a new venture with a content-based startup in Singapore and India.
His decision was due in part to Twitter’s sales restructuring, one Twitter spokesperson told online portal Marketing-Interactive.com.
Parminder joined Twitter in November 2013 from Google where he was the managing director of display solution sales for Asia Pacific.
The portal said his last day will be Nov 30, 2016.
The news comes amid Twitter’s plan of cutting 9% of its workforce, or about 300 people, globally.
